New England is often praised for harvesting some of the best Hardcore bands
around. Bane, Have Heart, Verse...Outrage. That's right...OUTRAGE. Although a
fairly new band they've come a long way since releasing their 2006 Demo,
"Survive". As most new bands starting out, they strived to find a sound of
their own. Drawing their main influences from bands of the 90's hardcore era.
In the Summer of 2007 Outrage recorded a 3 song demo that would serve as the
footprint of the sound they were striving for. After countless shows in support
of the demo the band parted ways with Chris Peterson (Guitar) and Brock Morris
(Guitar) and added Harry Harvey and Mike Belanger to solidify Outrage. Moving
forward Outrage has found a sound that is a powerhouse of heavy, metallic,
Straight Edge hardcore. Earlier this year, Outrage wrote and recorded their
debut EP to be released by Panic Records entitled "Savior". 7 Songs of angry
90's style hardcore that are up there with the aforementioned New England greats.
Biased that we'd believe this to be one of the best records to come out this
year? ...Maybe, but we know this record will make a mark in the same way that
bands like Have Heart and Verse have.
